BINTAN TRIP!:D2aunts+2cousins+grandma+mom+me!:D:D
Stayed at Nirwana Gardens during the weekend! The sandy beach, the clear blue swimming pool , the comfortable deluxe hotel, the waves, the ferry etc was FABULOUS!:D
Day one:
1) Took a taxi to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal(TMFT) with aunt and cousin!:D and meet the others near the reception. the wait was long cause we had to fill in the cards and form(as usual).
2) Board the ferry at noon time. The ride was horrible, because we were seated at the front section of the ferry! omgomg and it was when the tide came in and the ferry was up and down so rapidly that people vomiting on the ferry was sucha common sight! maybe i was lucky or whatever nothing happen to me:D so glad heh! the two cousins were behaving like monkeys initially but after ten minutes, they were lying there panting like mad and not long after, vomiting for several times, asking the ferry to stop and wanting to go home!:D the wave was so beautiful with some water splashing onto the windows occasionally. the one hour journey was started with me and my aunt taking photos of everything that caught our attention, then followed by siting there so still like a statue because it was super dizzy. it was heard that the ferry went
TWO metres high up when it hit the tides and wave. so can you imagine going up and down like a roller coaster ride for one entire hour?
3) Because bintan time is one hour behind s'pre time, we reached there at TWELVE noon again. when we arrived at our destination after boarding a shuttle bus- Nirwana Resort Hotel, there're some dancers dancing welcoming us. furthermore, they served us cold drinks which resembled murky water. not much visitors dare to drink including us. check in time was three pm so we had lunch there! satay+pizza+chips, you can guess how much weight i had gained lols. the food wasn't that expensive but i can't deny that the service was great:D and we had to give tips for like every service(: after lunch, we walked around near the beach where there are playgrounds and pools:D took pictures again while the two monkeys(my cousins) went to play at the playground! the pool is so big and wide, so different from the swimming pool as seen in s'pore! with some facilities, i feel like staying in the water for the whole day with my two cousins lols!
4) finally it's time to check in!:D the view from the room was spectacular and brilliant. peering from the full-length window on our bed, the magnificent scenery includes the swimming pools, the pub with people dancing, the enormous sea and the extremely tall coconut trees with slender trunk! the two rooms we booked earlier're joined, so we could just simply walked to each others room:D each air-conditioned room consists of a mini fridge, coffee and tea facilities, two bottles of mineral water, hairdresser with hair dryer, king sized bed, two lamps, a fan, closet, and bathroom with mega bathtub. cause our luggages were heavy (as if), we requested them to carry up to our respective rooms. tips again hahas. after resting for a while and not forgetting to switch on the fans and aircons at full blast, we children went swimming! at first i went to the baby pool with my cousins but later on i couldn't stand the shallow-ness of the pool and went to the adult pool to have 'spa' lols. soon they followed me and we start fooling around! of course,the adults were lying near the pool chatting under the big orange umbrella. the wind was so strong that our hair were standing up like rooster and light stuff keep flying away!
5) swim for hours. because there're just a few people in the waters, we could swim freely around like we own the swimming pool! not forgetting some 'ang mohs' and visitors lazing on the beach chairs basking, reading books and magazines, enjoying the cool breeze. yeah loads of photos were taken all along as we snapped everything that attracts us. after the long swim, my limbs were tired and my two cousins were requesting for food. so it's dinner time! i'm exhausted so i stayed in the hotel with mom snacking on stuff and watching tv!:D slacking on the soft king-sized bed was really comfortable!((: after one fine hour, they were back with some take away food for mom and me!:D bbq chicken with rice, it was delicious:D
6) at night we didn't do anything much. just walking around the hotel enjoying the cooling sensation of the wind though it was cold. once again, our hair were all flying up lol. soon after watching some tv programmes, we decided to turn in. despite the softness of the bed and the comfort of the double pillows and comforter and the softness of the lighting, i couldn't sleep perfectly well because of the absence of my bolster and the wind howling strongly disturbing my beauty sleep.
Day two:
7) woke up at six am early in the morning and went for the morning buffet! yummy yummy yummy! took several plates of food stacked highly lols, and drank cups of tea! the buffet includes breads of different kinds, cupcakes, pancakes, chicken curry, porridge, bee hoon soup, fried noodles and rice, sausage, bacon, potato wedges, bean, pineapple and orange juice, tea and cofee, fresh milk, cereals, fruits, agar-agar:D there're even several stalls whereby the chefs cooked the different types of eggs for you on the spot! scrambled eggs, omelette and fried eggs! there're still some other kinds of food we didn't try it out because we're simply too full! overall, the morning buffet was SUPERB:D after buffet, we strolled along the pools, beach and once again, we set out for a swim again!:D swimming was fun and we splashed water and swim together holding hands! the water was so freezing cold and i was trembling! didn't swim for too long because we were to bath and pack our stuff as we had to check out at noon time. early!? never the less we still had fun fooling around.
8) time flies, really. bathing, packing and ensuring that nothing was left behind took a hour. soon we had to check out. poo our ferry timing was five thirty in the evening and we slacked and snacked again. the rest of us were full after gobbling down the snacks and partly because of the heavy breakfast, only my two aunts and grandma had lunch and they bought chocolate cakes for me and cousin((: yummmy!:D while waiting we went to make a keychain as a souvenir with our name and date on it:D the two cousins bought a whistle as well but not me. they being mischievious kept blowing the whistle which made a piercing sound that sounds rather irritating! not long after we board the shuttle bus back to the bintan ferry terminal and took the ferry back to singapore!:D:D the return journey was smooth and peaceful(:
